Hill – My Story
Background
Five years ago my heart
and soul were telling me to follow my true purpose in life and so I left a successful career in the
corporate world to establish SpiritWise Consulting. Through my association and licensing with
HeartMath LLC, I have since been offering stress and emotional management coaching to a broad range
of business executives and professionals. My focus is on helping individuals reduce stress and
anxiety, gain clarity of purpose, find solutions to overwhelming problems and to realize their
personal potential for fulfillment and happiness.
My background in organization development and career transition coaching allows me to
offer a unique blend of empathetic guidance, a wealth of business experience and a practical yet
intuitive approach which helps my clients get to the ‘heart of the matter’.
Previous Experience
At Right Management Consultants, the world’s largest career transition and
organizational consulting firm, I was vice-president of client services providing national
accounts leadership to several leading Canadian corporations, including IBM, Sun Life, Royal
Bank, MDS and Nortel.
At Mainstream Access for eight years, I was a career coach, branch office director and
vice-president sales and marketing. I coached hundreds of individuals in career transition and
provided organizational consulting support and project leadership in large-scale restructuring
and merger and acquisition initiatives. I helped launched the Institute of HeartMath® programs
in Canada, delivering programs in two major banks.
In my 16 years at Canada Systems Group, then Canada’s largest IT outsourcing firm, I
was responsible for skills development courses for 2,500 employees. Also, I implemented a
leadership development program which improved management skills at all levels.
Education
I have studied psychology at McMaster University and hold a Diploma in
Management from Sheridan College. I am certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type
Indicator and by Dr. William Bridges to deliver his organizational and individual transition
programs. I am a licensed HeartMath® Coach for their Stress Management and Stopping Emotional
Eating programs.
Personal Note
Volunteering and finding ways to
give back are important to me. I have been involved with a variety of local volunteer groups:
Chair of the Oakville Distress Centre, a volunteer with the VON hospice program, the Carpenter
Hospice and the Wellness Program; provided workshops for Danielle’s Place in
Burlington and for Wellspring. Internationally, I sponsor two children through World
Vision and have taken part in their Destination Life Change program in Costa Rica. I am a
member of the Grandmothers for Africa foundation and, as well, participate in the KIVA
online ‘Loans that Change Lives’ initiative. I am also a Therapeutic Touch™
practitioner. I love taking care of my Grandson, pottering in my garden and dancing with the
Burlington Footnotes.

I have known Lynda since 2007; I was fortunate to meet her
during a time when I was lost between stages in my life unable to define
myself. Lynda helped me to give voice
to my thoughts, stresses and concerns. Through her guidance I was able to embrace my strengths
and accomplishments with pride and recognize the values I bring to the
table.
She is a consummate professional, honest, courteous,
reliable and with the uncanny ability to know just what is needed to bring one to
the next level.
I would recommend Lynda without
reservation.
